    Tour of the School of Artillery and North Fort

    The second Sunday of  Every Second Month ( in 2008 11 May/13 July/14 Sep/9 Nov)

     

Discover the military history and natural beauty of North Head – occupied by the military since 1934.

This guided tour includes the magnificent parade ground, examples of the art deco buildings, authentic WWII tunnels and pristine bushland.

Over two hours the walking tour covers four kilometres and includes bush tracks, stairs and underground tunnels.

When – Second Sunday of every second month

Where – North Head – Former School of Artillery

Cost - $12 adult, $8 child/concession, $30 family (2 adults and up to 3 concessions)

    Defence of Sydney – North Head Fortress Tour

Join the North Fort Artillery Museum, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Services and the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust on a military discovery tour of North Head.

You'll venture through tunnels and fortifications, explore the museum, see life through the eyes of a soldier and discover the myriad defence equipment that makes North Head so unique.

Proudly presented by: NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service - Sydney Region, Army History Unit / Royal Australian Artillery Historical Company and Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.

Cost - $39 adult, $29 concession (includes lunch)
